Michela Pasquali, landscape and botany, has designed gardens in Italy and the United States. For several years he devoted himself to the study of spontaneous gardens, created in the abandoned areas in degraded urban environments. He lived four years in New York, where he photographed and studied the community gardens of Loisaida, the subject of this book.
